Kentico Setup
Kentico uses the same shared sitemap-polling cadence as Wix and Squarespace, but only when the sitemap exposes usable lastmod values for real page updates.
Current status: Crawlbaby seeds Kentico sitemap state on the first successful poll, then enqueues downstream work only for new URLs or changed sitemap lastmod values. If the sitemap does not expose usable lastmod values, the supported path is the shared manual webhook contract instead of a weaker new-URL-only mode.
Site Values
Showing placeholder values. Open this guide from onboarding or a site settings page to preload the site URL and sitemap.

- Crawlbaby polls the saved Kentico sitemap sources on the shared change-event cron instead of adding a Kentico-only scheduler.
- The first successful poll seeds the current sitemap state instead of backfilling every existing URL immediately.
- Later new URLs or changed sitemap
lastmodvalues feed the existing page-change intake path without re-enqueueing unchanged entries. - When Kentico exposes usable sitemap
lastmodvalues, Crawlbaby stamps eventoccurredAtfrom that value so the site-header heartbeat reflects real sitemap-derived page changes rather than poll freshness alone. - If Kentico does not expose usable sitemap
lastmodvalues, Website Integration keeps the poll summary visible but switches the supported update path to the shared manual webhook contract.
What To Do Now
- Keep the site platform set to Kentico in Website Integration.
- Confirm the sitemap URL saved for this site. Most Kentico sites expose
/sitemap.xml, but use the actual sitemap source your site publishes. - Finish the normal onboarding baseline so Crawlbaby has an initial snapshot to compare against after later sitemap changes.
- After the first successful poll, check Website Integration. If Kentico reports missing usable
lastmodvalues, switch to the manual webhook fallback.
Manual Webhook Fallback
Do not rely on a Kentico sitemap that only exposes URLs without usable per-page lastmod data. In that state Crawlbaby treats the generic page-change contract as the supported path for ongoing existing-page updates.
- Create or rotate the site webhook token in Website Integration.
- Use the generic guide to send updated page URLs to
/api/sites/<siteId>/events/page-changed. - Use
X-Crawlbaby-Event-Tokenas the auth header and keep event payloads scoped to real publish/update events.
